Costs

(a)   Camping: Campsite is £10 per pitch per night, which includes "unit", 1 car, and 2 people. 16 amp hookup is £2 per night, awning is £1 per night, and extra people are £3 each per night unless they're between 3 and 15 years, in which case they're £1.50. I guess people under 3 may be free (or full rate in case they cry during the night? who knows?). An additional pup tent (pup not compulsory) or gazebo is £1 per night, and an extra car is £1 per night. 1 person only with a small dome tent is £6 per night. Dogs are free but they must be kept on leads and exercised off-site.

(b)   Boat:  The Lundy boat costs £28 return for adults, £15 for children and £5 for infants under 4. The family rate of £65 (2 adults, 2 kids) I don't think is any use to us (unless Ron and gang want to come?).  The website says there are discounts for Senior Citizens, Students, National Trust members, Groups, Schools and Coaches. Group discount is 15% if we book in advance, and we need 10 people (error in previous e-mail). I don't think there will be a problem with turning up on the day though I will check when I phone them next. The boat leaves Ilfracombe at 10am and we need to check in at 9.15am. My Autoroute reckons just over an hour for the drive but it is a pretty wiggly road so maybe 7.45-8am is a good departure time. The ship has a "buffet, bar, shop, toilets, information centre and heated comfortable saloons" so maybe we can get breakfast on board. The boat gets back in at 7pm which is the earliest available.

(c)    Train: For the railway trip I think a Rover fare will do. These are £12 adult / £10 senior citizen / £6 child (5-15) / £30 family. If we can do it on a straightforward return ticket it will be £10.60 / £9.20 / £5.30 / £27.20. I should point out that doing Tuesday on the train will involve a reasonable amount of walking (or lift-blagging). I reckon station to church distances are around 1 km for Dunster, Bishops Lydeard, and Watchet, so it's feasible, but is timetabled assuming someone at least decides to drive that day.

(d)   Tower fees: I think we will need about £12 per ringer for tower fees for the whole week.
